Why's That Van Upside Down?

Ever spotted one of our vans and thought, “Wait… is that logo upside down?” You’re not seeing things. It is! And it’s no accident.

It all started as a bit of a laugh. At one point, we thought it’d be fun to list all our “international depots” on the side of the vans. Now, we’ve only got one depot (right here in Paisley), but we figured, why not dream big? So we added a few extras: New York, London, Sydney… you know, just the usual van hire hotspots.

Then someone had the bright idea: "If we’re including Sydney, shouldn’t we flip the decals upside down in honour of our mates Down Under?" And so we did.

Fast forward to the next van. We forgot to add the made-up depot list, but thanks to a wee mix-up, the upside-down decals went on anyway. The result? People started noticing. Asking questions. Having a laugh.

So we thought: why stop now? And an AK tradition was born.
